Ledgerly values your privacy. This section explains what data we collect and how we use it.

1. Data We Collect
• Currency preference — chosen during sign-up for default budget settings.
• Account information — email address and display name when you sign up via email, Google, or Apple.
• Support messages — content you submit through the Help / Contact Support screen.
• Ledgerly does not track usage analytics, location, or any other personal identifiers.

2. Offline-First Storage
All budgets, lists, and transactions are stored locally on your device. When you sign in, they synchronise with your private space in Firebase Cloud Firestore.

3. How We Use Data
• To provide core budgeting functionality.
• To synchronise your data across devices when you sign in.
• To respond to support requests you initiate.

4. No Third-Party Ads or Tracking
Ledgerly contains no ads, no marketing SDKs, and no behaviour tracking.

5. Security
Local data is stored using encrypted SharedPreferences. Cloud data relies on Firebase security rules scoped to your user ID.

6. Data Retention & Deletion
• You can delete any budget, list or transaction at any time within the App.
• Deleting your account from Settings removes your cloud-stored data.
• Guest-mode users can clear all local data via Settings → Reset.

7. Your Rights
You may review, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. Contact support@ledgerly.app.

8. Changes to this Policy
Any changes will be posted in-app under Legal → Privacy Policy.
